I contacted Efficiency Heating and Cooling to install a new central A/C in our property. Matt came by, introduced himself in a most professional way, took notes on all our needs and shortly thereafter presented a precise estimate. He completed the work timely, thoroughly and exactly within the estimate given. And since we now live out of town, he took care of having the unit inspected (at no extra charge), and obtained the county’s approval. Knowing that we will be selling the property, he inspected our furnace and made a few small repairs to assure that it would be perfect for a pre-sale inspection. Although his charges are comparable to, or even lower than many, his work is way above average. Matt is a knowledgeable professional of great integrity who will treat you with respect and courtesy. I would not hesitate one second to hire his services again or recommend him to friends and family.

EH&C was the only company we had come out that even mentioned needing a safety post as well. The install guys were very nice and did a great job. Left the garage clean and explained everything to us. They also leveled out our outside ac unit for us at no extra charge. We are very happy with the service we got and will happily do business with again.

Removed old oil furnace and replace with new efficient Gas furnace and A/C unit with filter tray. Fantastic!    Matt was always professional and responsive to any and all questions and concerns.   Once the NW Gas line was installed and inspections approved he showed up at nearly 8pm to turn on my new furnace and went over all the thermostat settings that he’d set for me when it was installed, in case I forgot or wanted to choose different settings.   Nice man and very compassionate about my husband’s recent passing.    He knew I was unfamiliar with this whole process and made sure he was available by phone, as questions arose.   He even did the necessary paperwork for my warranty registration and what he could on the state/federal tax credit forms I’ll need to submit for my taxes for this year.    I got two other quotes, one slightly lower and one substantially higher and neither was as professional or informative as Matt’s

I had recently submitted a review that was overall a positive experience.  Efficiency was responsive, information, timely and helpful.  Our furnace motor needed to be replaced.  After Efficiency completed replacing the motor, I had another service company visit to address the water heater and gas fireplace (at the time I did not know Efficiency Heating & Cooling could handle this as well).  This other company checked the furnace and mentioned the fan was out of balance and a generic motor could have been used.  When Matt from Efficiency saw this review he called me the same day with concern.  He backs up his work and offered to come out and check the fan.  Matt also explained he felt OEM motor was the best quality option for our furnace and now I feel better about his approach to the job.  Also, the cost of the OEM motor was very reasonable, when the other company heard the price they could not comment negatively. Working with Efficiency and Matt went very well.  I would turn to him in the future and recommend him to friends. I know nothing about furnaces and he really took the time to explain and make sure I was comfortable with the work.  Matt was very concerned with the fact that I would have any doubts and made the second trip out to verify all was working well.  Good customer service. He also did not charge for this trip.

Fixed furnace that had not been igniting on regular basis. Cleaned furnace, did tune up and replaced a part. Fantastic experience. Efficiency was able to come to our house within an hour of us calling for an appointment. He did a very good job at explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. I believe I now have a good sense of some potential future problems with our furnace, but I was able to decide what was most important to fix now to try to extend the life of the furnace. Very low pressure and informative.

Inspected furnace, supplied air filters, installed new breaker, furnace tune-up, sealed burner compartment and installed electrical housing.  As a first-time homeowner and a non-fix-it person, I wanted to learn more about my home’s important systems, so I called Efficiency Heating & Cooling to come out for a service call hoping to get a better understanding of how to maintain my furnace. Matt gave us a helpful primer on both our furnace and thermostat. He pointed out the accumulation of construction dust in our new furnace and recommended we have the furnace and air ducts cleaned (not a service he provides). After that was done, he came to do a tune-up on the furnace, and he and his crew fixed a few loose ends that had been overlooked in the original install and replaced the old breaker with a correctly calibrated one. Additionally, he ordered new filters that were the correct size and would allow the furnace to function at its best. I was very pleased with the experience and now have a service agreement with Efficiency to make sure the furnace is maintained on time and correctly.

“Having had great service with Efficiency Heating & Cooling in the past we didn’t hesitate to call them to get a free estimate for replacing our old oil furnace for a high efficiency gas furnace. After reviewing all of our options, the different models, and available credits and rebates, we decided to have Efficiency remove our old furnace and install a 97% efficient two stage American Standard furnace. Efficiency ran a new gas line from a new outside gas meter through our basement completely out of sight to the new furnace. The old furnace was hauled away with the service. The installation is very professional and included a cabinet ready for an AC if we ever decide to install one. Higher grade gas lines were also used to support our future plans for additional gas appliances. Efficiency also provided us a with a new air filter cartridge system that is much easier to use than our previous setup. New furnace ventilation was installed in our existing chimney and an outdoor temperature sensor and new wifi-enabled thermostat was also installed. Efficiency handled all the permits and required inspections. They even worked with the gas company directly to get our gas flowing into our house after the installation was complete. We couldn’t be any happier with our service from Efficiency Heating & Cooling and our new furnace. They definitely went the extra mile. I had spent some time researching online about gas furnaces but it wasn’t easy understanding all of the options available. During the in-home estimate inspection Efficiency patiently explained all of the efficiency ratings, fan speed options, furnace ratings, and installation options. The pros and cons for the various options were clearly laid out and we definitely felt we ended up with the best informed decision we could make after our appointment and after reviewing the estimates we were presented. The installation was performed over two days. The installers arrived promptly each day. I couldn’t even tell they had been working in our basement each day because they laid down cloths to keep the area clean where they were working. I could tell our installation probably wasn’t going to be very straightforward. We have a partially finished basement which included a ceiling that was directly between the furnace area and our gas meter. They were able to run the heavy gauge gas line through the area and out through a crawl space without any impact to the finished area. All of the lines were kept almost entirely out of sight which I have to say was pretty impressive. We had no heat one night during the installation but Efficiency let us borrow a few of their electrical heaters to keep us warm which was very thoughtful. After arriving home to our new furnace the first thing we noticed was how quiet it was! And the house really felt warm with a radiant heat feeling. This was a huge contrast to the very loud fan blowing air throughout our house. The two stage fan is definitely worth the extra cost. Our previous heater would go on full blast, turn off for a while, and then go back on full blast. Now the heat softly warms the house rarely having to blow full speed when we’re home. We just got our first gas bill and was surprised how low it was. We used to try to limit how much we used the heat because we didn’t want to burn too much oil. Oil isn’t cheap and I would often find myself calculating how much we were burning with the measuring stick. Now with our efficient gas furnace we can keep ourselves warm all the time without worrying about spending too much money on our heating bill, and thankfully no more oil tank refills to deal with. We can’t recommend Efficiency Heat & Cooling highly enough for their services and look forward to working with them again. We are very happy with our furnace installation and feel at ease knowing that our setup has us well positioned for the future.”

“Our furnace wouldn’t provide heat even though the blower would go on. It was determined that a capacitor had gone bad and was replaced. Last night our furnace quit working, so around 8:15 PM we called Efficiency Heating & Cooling because they have 24-hour service available. The dispatcher told us that it that an after-hours call would cost an additional $50 and that a technician would be at our house in about an hour. We were pleasantly surprised that the premium for an after-hours call was only $50 and I think the technician was there in about 30 minutes. He spent about an hour diagnosing and fixing the problem. Even though he was called from home, late at night, and had been up all day; he was courteous, kind, professional, and didn’t rush through the repair. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.
